Is there a pudding diet??

So every day I am on a diet…it seems that there is always something there to save me!  Some days it’s egg beaters…another day it’s the dog taking me for a big walk…other times it’s Lean Cuisine.  But today…it was Jell-o sugar free pudding.  Oh thank goodness for it! I have to admit…I struggled a bit today and still somehow came out smelling like roses (or chocolate pudding rather).

I was craving sweets SO badly, and just had to have THREE….yes THREE jello puddings today. One at lunch, and two while watching the new episode of “True  Blood” tonite on HBO!

It’s pathetic, but I’ve done it! LOL!  Definitely surprised myself when I looked at my totals.  Carbs are super duper pooper high today…but I’m just going for the low fat/low cal diet anyways!  I ended up at 1014 calories and only 10.1 grams of fat!!! I was shocked!  I found some great new products at the grocery store and overall did AMAZING!  A calorie deficit of -1421!!!

I honestly couldn’t have done this well so far without Buddyslim helping me out!  I am just totally euphoric about how positive I feel about this diet!  Like it can REALLY be done! 

Ruby (my dog) and I went for a nice 1 mile walk (I’m guessing…new pedometer hasn’t arrived yet) around the local college campus. It’s really beautiful in the evening…so that wasn’t bad for a bit of exercise!

The dog walking saved me today!

Oh thank goodness the dog saved me today!  For some reason today I had a TERRIBLE amount of hunger…water didn’t even phase me today, I was so hungry!  I took the dog for a nice big 2.5 mile walk at the local forest preserve…and it was great!  She was tired and pooped out…I was tired and pooped out…and overall I think I did pretty good on my diet today, but I think I need to start watching my sodium intake…seems kinda high to me…so I’ll be researching that tonite!

Lean Cuisines and Healthy Choice really helped today as well…I got hungry at like 11pm…and thank goodness I had one here otherwise I would have been heading to McDonalds!  It was scary how I paced back and forth and talked myself into and out of going to get a couple double cheeseburgers!  I honestly would have done it if I didn’t have buddyslim to show me how much fat and calories are in those things!  But seriously it was SUPER pathetic me trying to talk myself out of going to McD’s.  Nothing would be better than a big ol’ greasy burger right now!

The one complaint I have today is that I hate the deserts in the lean cuisine dinners…that caramel apple stuff is so icky!  I’ll have to call Lean Cuisine and find out how many calories and fat is in those things…I never eat them and always save them for the hubs!  Gimme good old chocolate anyday!

So…I did make it through another day…thank goodness for the dog walking or my calorie deficit would be way too low.  I ended the day at 1786 calories, 20.5 grams of fat, 212.4 carbs, 111.9 grams of protein and an overall calorie deficit of -814.  I aim to get a calorie deficit of over -1000 normally due to the fact that I sit on my butt ALL day long in front of the computer working…and b/c of my chronic fatigue I sleep about 10 hours a day…so I gotta make it up!

So…that’s my day in a nutshell!  Aiming to do a bit better tomorrow…definitely gonna take the dog for another walk!  She had a blast and it felt good for me too! Oh…and I gave up and weighed myself anyway…even though I said I was gonna wait a week…tonight was really hard and I had to do it! LOL!

Today was a good day!

As far as first few days go…I think today was definitely a good one!  I had a super yummy supper…and found out that the Healthy Choice Cafe steamers are pretty tastey!

I ended up with 1311 calories, 19.8 grams of fat, 154.6 carbs, 122.8 g protein, and a total calorie deficit of 951!!!!!!!  That’s the main number that I watch since after talking to my nutritionist she said that a low fat and low calorie diet would work for me best!  So far so good! 

I’m going to wait and weight myself on the 19th b/c that will have been my first official week!  It’s going to be torture not weighing myself until then…but I think I can do it!  The dog and I are going M-F of next week on a nice 2 mile walk at our local forest preserve (the weather thus far is supposed to be good).

For dinner I had:

3 hard boiled egg whites

2 pieces wheat toast

1/2 cup of country gravy poured over the top (SOOOO good!)

And 1 Jello pudding (yum!)

It definitely satisfied me…so for now I’m good to go!

First day! Here I go!

Well, I have finally resigned myself to a good healthy diet.  I really have to loose some weight!  I am only 28 years old, and weigh 242lbs.  I just don’t have the energy to deal with this fat anymore.  I’ve decided to do it “the fun way”!  Walking my dog, doing some PS2 “Dance Dance Revolution”, and using protein shakes and healthy choice meals…cutting out fat and calories!  It’s not the best orchestrated plan ever…but I finally decided that I just need to do what works for me!  I am hoping to loose about 10 pounds this month (they always say the first month is the biggest), so it would be nice to be down a few pounds by the 4th of July!

I tried doing the diet shake thing…but I was always hungry, so instead I’ve switched to Body Fortress Whey protein shakes.  They are low in fat and calories, and high in protein…and they keep me from being hungry like all of those slim fast drinks and such do.  I won’t be able to cut out my cheese and milk intake…I’m just too much of a junkie for those…so I bought some Kraft singles fat free cheese…and some fat free milk to mix with my shakes, and hopefully between the chocolate fix from the shakes…and the milk and cheese I should be alright!

My hubby sweetly put some Burger King coupons on my desk for free breakfast items…I do love him, but I think he’s going to be my biggest opponent.  He has a way of combating my best laid plans.  So I guess for now I’ll just have to stick to this on my own!

Here’s to hoping!  I’m 242 lbs (well 241.5 if you’re exact), and I’m hoping to be around 230 mid july.  So we’ll see!  Wish me luck!
